“ Emails ”

I used to take pride in keeping my email basket empty… maybe a few would pile up, but I could always clean them up pretty quickly. But I have a confession to make …. I currently have 716 unopened emails. I’m serious…716. I hear you shouting, “Please Dave say it’s not true … you’re too emotionally stable for that to be happening.” I honestly tried to keep the number under 700. Look up the national debt clock; it’s 40 trillion and growing  by the millions every couple of minutes. It reminds me of my email basket.

I can’t just do a mass delete, because some emails have real value. Recently I sent my brother some chocolate for his birthday and now “Harry & David Chocolates” are my best friends; I hear from them almost everyday. How can I cut them off? “Wine Insiders” seems frantic that I haven’t ordered wine recently and are begging me to get some great chiantis. My good friends from Atlantic Health and University Radiology are eager to hear  how I enjoyed my latest MRI and colonoscopy.  Recently I was very touched by the following personal birthday greetings .… “Dear David , Happy birthday to you! We hope that you have a happy and healthy year to come. The Acupuncture Fit Team”. (Hmmm, I’ve never received acupuncture). I won’t even bring up the kind birthday greetings from my Dental Surgeon’s office which almost brought me to tears. 

Okay, I know what some of you might be thinking. “Dave, why are you cluttering up my email basket with a BLOG about your cluttered email basket?” Very good thought. I always knew that the people who read my BLOG are brilliant. You are wondering what is the life changing point of this particular BLOG, the point that is vital to your success in life? Okay, you deserve to know, and I’m going to tell you. Ready?

Your brain is at capacity. Your brain can’t handle another life changing BLOG message from me. You need to delete the spam from your brain and fill it with some less demanding information. This particular BLOG is like a cleansing treatment for the brain… a colonoscopy of the brain… Drano for the brain. Once you finish reading this BLOG, your brain will be blank; you’ll be ready to get going again. You’ll be ready for some real “meat & potatoes”.  So, you don’t need to thank me. Just get ready, the next BLOG is coming soon and it’s going to be life changing. And in the meantime, remember that Jesus loves you and knows your name.
