With everyone at home during this confinement due to the coronavirus, I feel somewhat inundated with information from a myriad of sources… the news, medical updates with the latest statistics , requests for money, the latest prayer to rid ourselves of the virus, on-line mass from coast to coast, blogs, etc., etc., etc. While much of this is good and helpful, it’s often more than I can take in. So, here I am adding to the pile. With that in mind, feel free to delete this note….but if you do, you may be missing something that might change your life.

So, here is a tidbit from Henri Nouwen, a noted Catholic author, who many of you are familiar with.
Nouwen speaks about decorating the inner room of your soul with pictures obtained in your times of prayer and study. The more you pray and study and meditate, the more these holy pictures appear on your wall. He then said that whenever I meet people throughout the day, I receive them in my inner room, trusting that the pictures on my wall, will guide our meeting. He goes on to say that without prayer and contemplation, the walls of our inner room will remain barren and few will be inspired.”
“Here & Now” by Henri Nouwen
In summary, my translation says “garbage in- garbage out”. If I don’t stay close to the Lord and allow him to form and transform my heart, I’ve really got nothing to say of real value to anyone. Have a great day.
Thanks, Dave. Very practical if one could get in the habit of decorating those barren walls! I hope to try it. Dick
