We stayed in this incredible house overlooking the  famous La Quebrada Cliffs where divers impressively surge from the 135 feet high cliffs into the Pacific Ocean. The view was magnificent, the house beautiful.

We even had a maid who prepared our breakfast. When we arrived we thought boy if only our friends could be here and see this; it was just too much for us …. we wanted to share it with our friends. We even thought maybe they can fly down from St. Louis and join us.

It reminds me of the passage from John’s gospel.

Father, I desire that they also, whom you have given me, may be with me where I am, to behold my glory which you have given me in your love for me before the foundation of the world.” (John 17:24)

Jesus wanted his friends to be with him to share his joy…. to be with him and see the glory that God the Father had given him before the foundation of the world. Wow, what a wonderful expression of love.

I still recall how Judy and I wanted our friends to share in the blessings of our place in Acapulco, which was pretty incredible, but let’s get serious…… “Jesus’s glory before the foundation of the world”… a whole different story. So, let us remember that the Lord ultimately want us to be with him for all eternity and experience true joy and behold real glory. As St. Paul reminds us  “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.” (1Cor. 2:9)  Wow, it’s going to be great.
