Standing at the sink one moment and the next sitting in a chair with a blank face, unable to compose or speak coherently, to see or focus, observing but not understanding, knowing things weren’t right. The next five days went from the chair to the Emergency Squad van to the ER to the 7th floor of Overlook and back to my chair at home.

My schedule took a beating this week. Didn’t God know I had plans, important things to do, including getting ready for Christmas? My Advent was starting to gain momentum. I had a number of BLOGS in final form. I had some wonderful things to say about John the Baptist… but God had other plans.
His plans included showing me how much he loves me and speaking to me throughout this saga. It included bringing so many wonderful people to help me, first my holy wife and children who took great care of me (including our Touhill Medical Staff with Chief Angela and Asst. Anne). It also included so many terrific Overlook health care workers … at every level … the doctors, nurses, medical techs, specialists, room cleaners, transport personnel … did I forget anyone. They were ALL great and I was able to encourage them a lot. They became my friends. I learned about their lives, their families, joys & sorrows, their plans. We prayed with many of them, spoke about the Lord. It was a great week.
Back to my health saga. During my stay they examined me “in and out” … MRIs, EEGs, CatScans, blood work, etc. and found out that I’m pretty healthy, at least in the areas they were looking. So, I’m home and keeping an eye on a few things…. we’ll see what’s next.
Let me leave this BLOG with the truth that God loves each of us and sent his only begotten son to save us from our sins and one day bring us home to heaven. What Good News. And thanks for all the prayers and help.
Have a Blessed Christmas.
3 cheers! Hopefully the blip in th road is in the rear view mirror and back on the road. Looking forward to more BLOGS 🤗❤️
