“Jesus Doesn’t Have A Cell Phone”

The world used to be easier to understand. It seemed to be a lot simpler. I just received a note from my 90 year old cousin who said, “ life was so immensely different before WW II, people were so simple, poor, honest.” 

Today it’s hard to even understand what people do at work. People used to sell shoes, make donuts or they were firemen. It was pretty clear what you did. Today, I ask my kids and grandkids what they do and they explain it over the next few minutes,  I continue to nod and say hmmmmm, and then I realize I still don’t know what they do.  

“Auuuuuh, what is bitcoin? Well any fool knows that Bitcoin is a protocol which implements a public, permanent, and decentralized ledger. Bitcoin transactions are verified by network nodes through cryptography and recorded in a public distributed ledger called a blockchain.” Well, why didn’t you say so before…..okay, I get that ……  but what is bitcoin? Between cyberspace, artificial intelligence, social media, Black Holes, Bitcoin, the Webb Telescope, electric trucks, twelve sexual identities, woke, the national debt, which politician is a crook…. I can really feel that I just landed on Mars. 

“Dave, that’s because you’re getting old…. your brain doesn’t work well anymore…. all you remember is the punchlines from old movies and the Three Stooges.” Okay, I admit that, I admit that, you may be right…. hmmmmm, where was I ?

Before the people in white coats come for me, let me try and land this BLOG. Let’s look at what we do know before we try and understand what we don’t know. First of all there will be no cell phones in heaven. Secondly the Lord does not have a computer. Finally, the only one who knows everything is God…. and he hasn’t heard of Bitcoin. So put your feet up, relax, and smile. Jesus is Lord and he loves you and we have nothing to fear. And that is very good news.
